Nakba – Palestinian genocide turns 75 thanks to Israel

May 5, 2023 – As Israel turns 75 there is a lot of praise and appreciation for its achievements around the world, especially from its Western allies. Self-proclaimed human-rights champions and peace-makers of the world are lauding the progress of Israel in terms of innovation and economic development. So much so that The Economist labeled Israel as a survivor nation in their recent issue. However, there still seems to be a conflicting approach on how to celebrate the so-called Independence day of Israel. Since even The Economist is not not sure that from whom did Israel gain independence. Or was it even independence at all?

There is another side of this story which is relatively transparent and historically as well as factually correct. It is that Israel is a prime example of settler-colonialism that came into existence after forcefully displacing the Palestinians from their homeland in 1948, an event commonly known as Nakba. Everyday 3-5 Palestinians are executed in cold blood. People have to walk through elaborate, humiliating and inhumane check posts just to get across town for work or go back home, every single day.

The Israel Defense Force makes no exception in manhandling women and kids. The hijab-wearing women of Palestine are manhandled by Israeli men in Uniform while the Muslim Ummah turns a blind eye towards all these atrocities. Every year in Ramadan the sanctity of Masjid-al-Aqsa is tarnished as Muslims are stopped from praying inside the mosque, tortured, beaten, gas-bombed and pushed while offering prayers. Palestinians taken as prisoners live in grave condition in Israeli prisons with little regards for human rights or respect as world Human Rights Watch forgets to raise their voice.

The most interesting part is that the most progressive and democratic nation of the world – Israel, has the rule of a jungle when it comes to Palestinians and thus relentlessly practices detention without charge. Just last week a multiple time administrative detainee and hunger striker, Khader Adnan died inside Israeli prison and put another badge on Israel’s human rights scorecard.

It seems the Zionists keep forgetting their history and need to be reminded every few years regarding how and why they were banished from the land they claim as theirs. As a gentle reminder maybe they can try reading their own scriptures or ask from real Jews who have the knowledge of their Book and are often part of demonstrations supporting Palestinians. Or maybe they are waiting for a final reminder from the Heavens yet again.
